Preliminary task

I planned my script in order to contribute to my part in the preliminary task. I acted as a presenter and also planned which story I was going to include in the task (The mass brawl between school students).

I edited the preliminary task and cut the bits out we didn’t need from the preliminary task using audacity.

I also inserted the news jingle that we chose as a group and added in the fade ins and fade outs.


Preliminary task was completed.

Leadership skills and team working skills were shown. Uploaded to blog.

Pitch

Planned and produced my part of the pitch. Explained our ideas and the ideas for my own story. Explained why I chose my story and how I will use it. Explained why we chose the name ‘Flash FM’ for our production name.

Pitch feedback

Took down notes of feedback. Recorded the group feedback on my phone. Used the feedback to improve on my ideas and my story.


Feedback was used to make my story sound better in the radio newscast.

Primary research: Audience VoxPops


I found a few of my target audiences and asked what they listen to on the news (+more questions).

I recorded it on my phone.

Edited it on the 1st/12/2016 and uploaded it on the 3rd/12/2016


Primary research was completed. Experience of how to create VoxPops was gained.

Audience profile

On the 8th of December I filmed the female version of our audience profile. I was in charge of deciding who our target audience female was and was in charge of recording with the camera.

On the 12th we uploaded the footage onto the iMac in school and started to edit the footage, cutting out the scenes that we don’t need.

On the 15th we recorded our audio to the audience profile and edited it in to the video.

On the 16th we added music and completed our audience profile video.


Audience profile completed.

Experience of editing audio was gained.

I created the treatment plan to my story for my radio news broadcast.

Created the contingency plan / backup story in case I can’t do my original story.

Draft script

I planned the script to my part of the radio newscast. I also did some research in order to make my draft.

Asked people to give me feedback on my script, what they like/dislike about it.

Sequence of whole group newscast layout

Decided which stories would go first and last and whose story is soft news/hard news. I was in charge of the layout and scripts for the anchors as well.

The layout and sequence was completed and seemed accurate.

Changed my script and story to backup story

Changed script to fit the story and edited all planning.

Completed.

Editing

Edited my section of the whole group newscast.

Edited the whole newscast with group. The whole newscast was too long so we had to cut it down. We used the software called Logic to edit and add sound FX to our product.

Editing whole group newscast completed.
